Hello Mello Guys,
I was a housewife till my baby turned 10 month old before I decided to send him to school and started working again. What I'm about to share here, was based on our (me and my husband) own experience as a new parent for new parents.
First choice was a lesson learned. It was a "Home Taska". Well, that was what the owner claimed la. Dua hari je kitaorang tahan hantar Noah situ then, stop, tukar to a different place and straight report JKM.
Thus, we do not want the same issue happen to other parents yang baru nak experience hantar anak ke pre-school/taska. I am not going to talk about Nanny (pengasuh) here sebab I takde pengalaman tu. For me, that is another different matter to talk about.
So here are things that need a head up before choosing a kindergarten.
JKM Registered JKM (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat) is responsible for the provision of care, protection and rehabilitation of children to ensure their well-being. Its roles and functions have expanded to preventive and rehabilitative services in social issues and the development of the community.
Therefore, daycare or Kindergarten that have registered with JKM, will have to follow the standard procedures and policies that has been set up and if there are owners that failed to do so, could cause the shutdown of the place.
Ratio of Caregiver to Child for Daycare. Dear Parents, this is a must-aware knowledge before deciding on a daycare, because you want to be 100% certain your child is receiving the proper care and attention at the daycare. As a parents, you do not want someone, who is overworked or won’t be able to focus to handle your child simply because the daycare failed to follow the ratio.
The ideal ratio of caregiver to child that has been appointed by JKM is one staff per three newborn or infant children under 12 months old in a daycare (1:3). Kindergarten Schedule
Di sini, you akan tahu tentang kewujudan dan kegunaan Buku Log. From this Must-Ada book, you will be able to check or follow-up with your child's day. Apa aktiviti dia, susu berapa kali, poop berapa kali, mandi what time, aktiviti apa dia buat the whole day, etc.
In the same book, you boleh tulis comments, notes or pesanan of the day to the teacher.

CCTV
From my point of view, this is WAJIB. CCTV is the only proof that will clear any unwanted issue, or unsolved question that playing in your mind. Thus, make sure, you tanya pihak taska sama ada tempat tu ada CCTV tak dan adakah ia berfungsi dengan baik.
Monitor Your Child
This is my routine for Noah since he started school. Walaupun Noah dah mandi petang at school, me or my husband will still shower him before bed, and check his whole body just to ensure tidak ada apa-apa yang meragukan.
Be alert of your child's behavior too. If your child is acting differently than before, selalu meragam, sedih, acting traumatize toward something then you need to act fast. Investigate.
A Week of Trial
We decided to send Noah a week of school trial to monitor his response toward the changes and how the school works. Hence, we paid on daily basis for a week before making a permanent decision. If you pay full, and you decide to change the kindergarten, you might not get a refund. That was what happened to us previously.
This simple step is for you to be able to make a changes if thing does not works as planned (like his previous "home taska" that I mentioned), it is not too late to find another better place that will suit your child well.
There you go, I hope these little notes well help :)
GOOD LUCK MUMMIES!!

THE END
